INGREDIENTS:
3 lb
Gooseberries 3 lb sugar 1 pint water
METHOD:
1. top and tail gooseberries 2. put water and
gooseberries into a preserving pan 3. simmer until fruit is soft 4.
add warmed sugar 5. stir until sugar is disolved 6. boil rapidly
until sets when tested 7. start testing after 10 minutes 8. whilst
still warm (not hot) pour into pots 9. when cold, cover with waxed
paper and tie, or use polythene wrap and an elastic band
